Possible Hyperhidrosis ETS Side Effects

The most common side effect of thoracoscopic sympathectomy is compensatory truncal hyperhidrosis (sweating on the chest and/or back). This is a shifting of sweating from the palms and soles to the trunk and may be the body's natural way of compensating. In the majority of cases, the degree of sweating is mild. Hyperhidrosis is a condition of excessive sweating. This is a medical condition caused by an overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system of the sweat glands.
